Defense Minister and Yisrael Beytenu Chairman Avigdor Lieberman posted on his Facebook page on Friday a reaction to MK Basel Ghattas's (Balad) arrest. The latter was arrested and then interrogated on Thursday night on suspicion of smuggling cellphones to the prison cells of high-risk Palestinian prisoners he had visited in prison.

"As the week comes to an end it's important to emphasize that Basel Ghattas is not a singular case of a Knesset member crossing the line. Ghattas is the true face of the Balad party, and the Balad party is the true face of the whole Joint Arab List."

Lieberman, who has been vocal about his critique of the Arab List in the past, went on to add that "...Ghattas and his friends pose a true risk to Israel's security and to Israel's democracy."
