After the Education Ministry's website crashed Tuesday afternoon, the high school mathematics matriculation (Bagrut) exam may not take place as scheduled.
Teachers and school principals around the country were supposed to use the website to download a new, password protected version of the exam after the first version was leaked.
Due to inadequate precautions, the ministry website was not able to handle the heavy load of users trying to download the test, and the website crashed only half an hour after the document became available online and half an hour before the exam was set to begin.
