Egyptian satellite firm cuts broadcast of Hezbollah-linked TV in Lebanon

An Egyptian-based satellite firm pulled Hezbollah-linked television station Al Manar from the air on Wednesday, according to Lebanese media reports.
According to Lebanon's Daily Star, Egypt's Nilesat satellite provider stopped carrying the Hezbollah-run channel to its subscribers for "provoking sectarian strife."
Local media reported that regular broadcasts of other channels remained uninterrupted, although the satellite company was allegedly planning to terminate its operations in Lebanon.
