The Muslim Brotherhood called for a protest next Friday to denounce what it referred to as Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, Egypt's Al Ahram reported Tuesday.
"The [Brotherhood] voices its support for the Palestinian resistance, and is furious about the Zionist attacks," the Brotherhood's statement reportedly read.
"What is happening in Gaza is a violation of international law and
exposes the lies of the claimed Zionist peace," the statement added.
According to Al Ahram, the Brotherhood also called on Arab and Muslim leaders "to play their role in supporting the Palestinian cause and to help stop the bloodshed."
