Five suspects arrested on suspicion of terror by UK police

Four people have been arrested in Birmingham, and one is being held at Gatwick Airport on suspicion of terror offenses, Sky News reported on Friday.

Three men ages 26, 40 and 59 and one woman, 29, were held in Birmingham on Thursday night.

Assistant Chief Constable Marcus Beale said the investigation involved UK, French and Belgian authorities.

He added, that the arrests come after pre-existing intelligence was uncovered, and there was "no risk to the public at any time."
