The France Foreign Ministry issued an official warning on Tuesday to French nationals seeking to participate in an upcoming flotilla to Gaza scheduled for June. At least one French ship has pledged to join approximately ten other vessels planning to bring humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

Israel has called on European countries to discourage nationals from taking part in a flotilla intended to break the Israeli blockade and bring aid to the strip, saying groups should instead work to provide humanitarian assistance through legal land crossings in Israel.
