Meretz leader Zehava Gal-On criticized Labor leader Shelly Yacimovich and Tzipi Livni on Saturday for expressing support for Operation Pillar of Defense.

Speaking at a cultural event in Herzliya, Gal-On said that Yacimovich and Livni "competed amongst themselves on every possible stage to show who could give more support to a military operation whose outcome was known ahead of time."

Gal-On added that "only Meretz balanced and restrained the fervor of the Netanyahu-Liberman-Barak government and its ministers."
