There will be a general strike in Haztor Haglilit on Tuesday in protest of delays in paying municipal employers and cuts to balance grants paid by the Interior Ministry. Hatzor Haglilit Mayor Shimon Swisa told Israel Radio on Monday that his workers had not received their September salaries, and that balance grants had been cut in half, to NIS 12 million. Balance grants are aimed at lessening socioeconomic disparity among cities.
