GAZA - The IAF carried out a series of air strikes against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip overnight Thursday, witnesses and Hamas officials said, after Palestinian terrorists from the territory fired Kassam rockets into the western Negev.

Four Hamas training camps had been hit in the air strikes, Palestinian witnesses and Hamas officials said.

Two children were lightly wounded, medical workers said.

Fighter jets bombed a target south of Gaza City, with no reports of injuries as well as targets in Khan Younis, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported.

Earlier Thursday, Palestinian terrorists fired five Kassam rockets at western Negev communities enveloping Gaza.

An IDF spokeswoman said reports of the air strikes were being verified.
