Israel Medical Association to PM: Avoid health budget cuts

The Israel Medical Association sent an urgent letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday demanding he refrain from making cuts to the health budget, according to Army Radio.
Twenty-three doctors signed the letter, writing: "There is a nine million shekel shortfall due to the [high] rate of Israeli citizens' expenditure on private health insurance," which is one of the highest in the world, according to the report.
