Israeli tourist missing in Chile located alive

An Israeli tourist who had been missing in Chile for the past week was found alive on Thursday, Israel Radio reported.

Rishon Lezion resident Erez Szpakier, 24, had last been seen at the Puyehue National Park in the Andes Mountains on Thursday of last week.

Szpakier's brother Shaul wrote on his Facebook page Thursday that a rescue helicopter located Erez, and he was seen walking.

It is believed that he likely got lost while traveling in the Andes.
