Lapid: Netanyahu should spare us the calls for fake unity

White and Blue top ranking politician Yair Lapid called on those hoping for a unity government, in which his party will join forces to lead the nation with Likud, to bury such hopes in his speech in the Knesset on Tuesday.

“It’s not going to happen,” he said, and named the conditions under which his party will join a coalition with Likud.

“No immunity [to a serving PM], no clause allowing the Knesset to make a law over-ruling the ruling of the Supreme Court...fixing the Nation State law,” he called out among other conditions.

“We must keep the flame of hope alive facing a government that is turning its back on its citizens,” he ended.
