Lapid to PM: Fire Yishai over comments against haredi draft

Journalist-turned-politician Yair Lapid slammed Interior Minister Eli Yishai (Shas) for comments against the drafting of haredi (ultra-Orthodox) Israelis into the army and called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to fire the interior minister.

"Yishai's foolish comments and outrageous comparison between being drafted into the IDF and the spilling of blood, incest and idolatry is a scathing insult to everyone who dons a uniform and serves in the IDF," the head of the Yesh Atid party said.
