MK Eldad: People who believe the Arab Spring are fools

National Union MK Arye Eldad dismissed Arab pro-democracy protests throughout the Middle East, saying that "The people who believe in the Arab Spring are fools who are addicted to the wishful thinking that these changes will lead the democratization of the Middle East."

Speaking with the Benjamin Gottlieb at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, Eldad said he was convinced that the uprisings would only bring "radical Islam, jihadi movements, and in Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood to power."
