MK Tibi to petition court over rejection of 'Nakba' bill

MK Ahmed Tibi (United Arab List-Ta’al) will present a petition to the High Court Thursday against Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin's rejection of a bill to prohibit government funding for organizations that deny the "Nakba".The "Nakba" ("catastrophe") is the name given by the Arab world to the founding of the State of Israel.The High Court petition will be submitted by Attorney Hassan Jabareen, Director General of Adalah - the Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel.
