Man gets 7-months for attacking female security guard

The Petah Tikva magistrate’s court on Tuesday handed down a seven-month jail term for a man convicted of attacking a female court security guard during a hearing on the “Northern Star” organized crime – drug trafficking case last December.

During the hearing, an argument broke out between the guard and Eli Karajiah, a 23-year-old resident of Katzir Harish. Karajiah then punched the guard in the face, causing her bruising and pain in her left jaw.

Karajiah will also be required to pay NIS 2,500 in damages to the victim.
