A man in his 40s was seriously injured on Thursday night when he was shot while sitting in his car near Yokneam, Israel Radio reported.

Preliminary investigation found two masked men on a motorcycle drove by the car, where the man and his girlfriend sat, fired at it, and fled the scene.

The man was taken to a police station in Yokneam, where he was treated by Magen David Adom paramedics.

Afula Police is searching the area for the suspects.
