In special meetings held Wednesday Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chair Shaul Mofaz (Kadima) said that " "The peace agreement with Egypt is a top priority for both countries. I welcome the Egyptian army's considerate and responsible declaration that the peace accords will be maintained."

The meetings, held between three different defense committees, was organized by Mofaz to discuss the recent protests and events erupting across the Middle East in the past few months.
"These tectonic shifts are an early, strategic warning for the defense network and the State of Israel," Mofaz said.
