Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that Israel is closely monitoring the situation on the other side of the Syria border.

"We are determined to defend our land and our borders. We made that clear to the other side," Netanyahu said.

The prime minister visited the IDF's Northern Command Headquarters with Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Wednesday and listened to briefings from the IDF's Deputy Chief of Staff General Yair Naveh and the Command's CO.
