Two US-made F-35 fighter jets have departed from Italy on their way to Israel after a short delay due to foggy conditions, the IDF said Monday afternoon.

A welcoming ceremony for the first of a new batch of the aircraft was rescheduled early Monday, and is now set to take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Nevatim Airbase near Beersheba.
