Ofakim council member: Israel was in false state of calm

Zvika Greengold, of the Ofakim Regional Council, said, "The Grad rockets fired tonight show that we were in a false calm. The state must find an in-depth solution to this problem, and provide a stable secure situation for southern residents."

He added that southern residents will continue to stand behind the IDF and hope that "this time, things will be carried out in a way that will bring long-term calm. The city of Ofakim is preparing for an escalation," he added.

He called on local residents to abide by "life saving" instructions from the Home Front Command.
