MDA paramedics called to the scene of a fire near Dizengoff Square in central Tel Aviv on Tuesday discovered the burnt body of a man in an apartment. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police had not determined whether or not the incident was criminal in nature.

The identity of the victim remained unknown.
