Police arrested a 41-year-old Petah Tikva man suspected of murdering his girlfriend in a rage of jealousy. The alleged murder took place a month ago and the arrest was made a week ago, but a gag order on the case was lifted on Wednesday.

Vitaly Micvhaelov allegedly stabbed Olga Sorinoz to death, wrapped her body in nylon and placed flowers and a letter with the corpse.

The man fled the apartment and in the ensuing weeks called police several times to report the murder but was ignored. Police eventually went to the apartment and found the body.
