Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein opposes Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's supposed intention to bring the "Levy Report" - which calls on the government to transform West Bank outposts on state land into legal settlements - before the cabinet for approval next week, Israel Radio reported Thursday.

The Prime Minister’s Office said that they did not know of any formal decision to bring the report to either the Ministerial Settlements Committee or the cabinet, after rumors that Netanyahu intended to do so sparked condemnation from the Left on Wednesday.

Israel Radio quoted sources close to Netanyahu as saying that the decision to bring the "Levy Report" before the government for approval is dependent upon the outcome of consultations with Weinstein, which have been ongoing in recent days.
