The gunman that on Friday killed at least 27 people, including 18 children, at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut was identified as Ryan Lanza, according to CBS news.

Lanza reportedly was the son of a female teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Lanza apparently targeted his mother’s classroom, where most of the shooting occurred, CBS News reported.
