A city restaurant in the neighborhood of Ein Karem, known for hiring Arab employees, was defaced with threatening racist graffiti early Sunday morning.

According to police, shortly after the restaurant closed at 1 a.m., the words “Death to Arabs” were spray-painted in Hebrew on its glass front door.Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said Monday that the owners of the unidentified restaurant notified the Jerusalem Municipality several hours before filing a complaint with police. Rosenfeld said the Municipality has since sent a cleaning crew to remove the graffiti, and added that although no arrests have been made, a formal investigation has been opened into the case.
