Senior Tax Authority official arrested for taking bribes

A senior official at the Tax Authority was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of receiving bribes by the National Fraud Unit and the Lahav 443 unit of the police.

According to police allegations, senior official "took cash bribes in recent years, while serving in the Tax Authority, whether directly or through others, from various sources in exchange for promoting their interests in the Tax Authority."
