Nachman Shai (Kadima) commented on Wednesday on the possibility of early elections, saying Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak's government has reached the end of the road.

"Israel cannot face crucial international issues such as Iran and the deep economic crisis without a unified leadership and consensus on the path to take," Shai said.

"Elections is a present need," Shai added.
