Shekel stronger amid US debt ceiling uncertainty

The shekel strengthened against the dollar and the euro in inter-bank trading Wednesday. The shekel-dollar exchange rate fell 0.1% to NIS 3.395/$ and the shekel-euro exchange rate fell 0.12% to NIS 4.915/€.
On Tuesday, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.398/$, down 0.29% on the day before, but set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.921/€, up 0.51%.
