Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz has said on Sunday morning at the opening of the weekly cabinet meeting that the US-Israel relationship remains "as strong as they ever have been."
He continued to say the cooperation between the two countries is "very good" and that he continues to talk with senior US officials. He commented: "I have not heard of any crisis in relations between the two countries"
Speaking at the meeting, Steinitz also referred to the rise in fuel prices and VAT, saying: "Price increases, of course, are never pleasant, but we are doing the necessary steps to achieve two goals: high growth and low unemployment."
