Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem on Thursday was expected to convene a meeting with ambassadors from the United States and several European countries to show them what the Syrians are saying is evidence of an organized conspiracy to destabilize the Syrian government, Israel Radio reported.
Meanwhile, a Turkish officials said events in Syria were "very troubling" to Ankara, and that sanctions would not help the situation.
The official told AFP that if Syrian President Bashar Assad's regim falls, Ankara would be forced to reconsider its close relations with Damascus.
