British Ambassador to Israel Matthew Gould said that now is not an appropriate time to attack Iran, and that his country would not support Israel if it undertook such action, in an interview with Army Radio Wednesday.

Gould said that implementing harsher sanctions and preserving the negotiations are the best ways to solve the crisis over Iran's nuclear program.

Israeli officials have been hinting for much of this year at the possibility of an Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear program if negotiations to remove its ability to produce nuclear weapons fail or drag out for too long.
