Solel Solar Systems Ltd. said Tuesday it will build a new facility near its Beit Shemesh headquarters, thereby tripling the company's capacity for manufacturing its solar thermal receiver systems.
The new facility, in which the company will invest $25 million, is being constructed partly in response to significant increases in orders for Solel's renewable solar energy systems and recent agreements by Solel to build solar thermal power plants in Spain.
In 2006-2007 Solel received orders for over 100,000 receivers from power plant operators and developers in the US and Spain.
