Or Yarok: Children most prone to traffic injuries in J’lem

While the capital gears of for Wednesday’s Jerusalem Day celebrations, road safety organization Or Yarok warned residents that their city has become home to the most traffic accidents in which children are injured.
With 214 children injured in Jerusalem road accidents in 2013, the number of children – up to 14 years old – facing roadside harm last year was three times higher in Jerusalem than in Tel Aviv, Or Yarok said, citing data from the Central Bureau of Statistics. In 2013, 12 people in total were killed in road accidents in Jerusalem, compared to the seven killed in such incidents the previous year.
