Police arrest suspect in attack on TA migrants

Police arrested a 20-year-old man on Sunday under suspicion of throwing Molotov cocktails at the homes of foreign asylum seekers in the Shapira neighborhood in Tel Aviv this past Friday. The suspect is a resident of the neighborhood and law enforcement is bringing him before the Tel Aviv magistrate's court for a remand hearing on Sunday morning.
Last Friday, an unidentified attacker threw Molotov cocktails at four apartments as well as at an apartment used as a kindergarten occupied by migrants from Africa.
No one was hurt, but there was property damage. Neighborhood residents suspected that the attack was racially-motivated. Police initially had no comments on the motivation for the attack and did not announce the attack to the press, but on Sunday said that one possible explanation for the attack could be that it was a hate-crime against foreigners.
