MKs Muhammad Barakei (Hadash) and Ahmed Tibi (Ta'al) participated on Monday in a meeting that was organized in Morocco for the sake of Palestinian prisoners and nicknamed them "conscientious freedom fighters."
The two reportedly sang the Palestinian anthem and called for Palestinian prisoners to be a top priority around the world.

According to Tibi, "it is not fair that one prisoner that was captured during his military service will be the most famous soldier in history only because he is Israeli, while at the same time Palestinian prisoners waste away in jail without anyone ever hearing about them or even knowing their names."
Barakei added that "these Palestinian prisoners have families, names, and hope." The two MKs called for an end to the Gilad Schalit ordeal in order that all prisoners - Israel and Palestinian alike - will return to their families.
Tibi and Barakei came under fire last year after flying on Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's personal jet to Tripoli. Tibi was offically reprimanded by the Knesset Ethics Committee for visiting the country without Knesset approval, because it was his third time doing so without receiving proper permission.
