Fearful of having their heads crushed, or being dragged to death, more than 200,000 people have fled the war made possible by the US decision to withdraw.
UNRWA began its work in May 1950 and Palestinian refugees have been designated and treated quite differently from − and much worse than − all other refugees the world over, ever since.
The European governments pledged to allow 50,000 refugees in by the end of October 2019, a promise that they will not be able to keep at this point.
