The cruise company Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled today (Wednesday) on the ship Norwegian Joy a new thermal suite in the spa and the Mandara Salon, three-bedroom The Haven Premier suites, an expanded Vibe Beach Club, and 24 new balcony rooms, following a three-week dry dock.

"Our guests requested these improvements on the Norwegian Joy and we delivered," said David Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line. "We strive to develop the onboard experience based on the desires and needs of our guests, and this is another example of how we put them first in our decision-making. From an expanded spa to additional spacious accommodation, with these new updates, we've given our guests more space to relax, disconnect, and enjoy their time onboard with loved ones."

Among the notable updates on the Norwegian Joy and the guest experience onboard is the addition of the new and spacious thermal suite in the spa and the Mandara Salon, which is now the largest on Breakaway-Plus class ships. With refreshing offerings such as new sensory loungers that operate on all four senses, a sauna, ice room, and steam room, guests of the Norwegian Joy will enjoy added amenities as part of the famous NCL Mandara Spa experience, which was named "Best Spa" by the editors at Cruise Critic in their Editor’s Pick Awards for 2023.

In addition, the Norwegian Joy's The Haven by Norwegian® Premier Owner's Suites with a large balcony have been expanded to three bedrooms. The two new suites include three bedrooms; three and a half bathrooms; a completely renovated living room, parent unit, and outdoor balcony furniture; as well as a new separate dining room overlooking The Haven Horizon lounge facing forward.

The popular and exclusive adults-only Vibe Beach Club has also been expanded and now boasts a layout similar to the Vibe Beach Club available on the Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Bliss ships, with new private luxury cabanas. More details about the improvements of Norwegian Joy can be found here.

In addition to the ship's new offerings, Norwegian Joy boasts 21 bars and lounges; 16 complimentary and specialty restaurants; and a 400-meter-long seaside promenade with a breathtaking ocean view designed to connect guests to the sea. The ship also includes exciting activities for every type of traveler, such as the Norwegian Joy race track; a water park; a mini-golf course; and world-class entertainment including "Elements" and "Deal or No Deal®".

Norwegian Joy emerged from its three-week dry dock in Rotterdam, Netherlands on February 11, 2024, before embarking on an 11-day transatlantic journey from Southampton, UK to Miami. The renovated ship currently offers round trips from Miami to the Caribbean for seven days, before sailing to New York in summer 2024 and offering cruises to Bermuda with an overnight stay on the island. Guests can book cruises on Norwegian Joy with NCL's Free at Sea program, which offers free add-ons such as an unlimited open bar, specialty dining, Wi-Fi, shore excursion credits, and on selected sailings, the third and fourth guests in the cabin only pay taxes.
