In the first months of the baby's life, the pajamas are not only a garment for sleeping, but something that will accompany them for many hours during the whole day. It makes a lot of sense to put together a wardrobe for the baby based on bodysuits and overalls that provide good protection in maintaining body heat, alongside maximizing the ranges of movement that are important for the normal development of the baby.

When talking about children's clothes, there are many elements that are important to pay attention to, and this explains the popularity and appreciation that Petit Bateau receives, since the French brand is known for its thoughtful design that includes care for easy and comfortable wear, resistance to washing around the clock, and a naive French chic that accurately embodies what that is very useful and necessary for our little ones.

The world of Petite Bateau pajamas offers a celebration of beautiful naive illustrations in a delicate palette of shades. Whether these are prints of nature and animals, hearts, stars, stripes, flowers, bicycles or sweet inscriptions in French - each item in the collection is a piece in itself.

The name Petit Bateau ("little boat" in French) was born in 1920, when the character of Marinette first appeared in children's books in France, a character who later sang to the tune of a children's song about boats at sea. The same Marinette served as the brand's first advertising character and soon became its mascot. The bodysuits from the French brand have proven themselves for many years as an essential product for babies and parents. The push-buttons and armholes make the baby move freely, and help parents with comfortable and easy dressing.

The task of dressing tiny babies is simpler through the head thanks to the design of a rounder neckline and the closing of hidden ticks between the legs. Another invention born in the Petit Bateau atelier is a towel-velvet fabric, which is mainly used as children's pajamas thanks to its thermal insulation properties and the incomparable silk touch.

In 1970, the brand's thin and refined striped cotton was launched. For this purpose, a completely new two-thread knitting was required, with special knitting machines, and in 1990, the warmth element of the wool yarn was added to the softness of the cotton, when Petit Bateau created a new wool and cotton fabric that combined the properties of both materials, softness and warmth, in order to protect the body temperature of the babies and toddlers in a way that will be most convenient for them. The iconic stripes have become the most beloved and recognizable flag print with the brand, and every season you can find them adorning bodysuits, overalls, t-shirts, knitwear, underwear and swimwear in new shapes and colors.

In 2017, the brand began to take a green approach of environmental responsibility. The move included a variety of decisions, starting with stopping the use of plastic packaging and ending with the activation of an internet space that brings together buyers and sellers of second-hand items - an original and interesting approach to dealing with the issue. In the same year, the company launched a used products app that can be transferred from customer to customer. In the brand's collection, you can find a selection of sets consisting of pants and a shirt, as well as soft overalls in cuts that allow safe buttoning.

The pajamas are designed in silhouettes that are close to the body for reasons of safety, ability to move and maintaining body heat, so they are also used as a base layer under other clothes such as a coat, warming knitwear, sweatshirt, pants and even a dress. All models are made of pleasant, high-quality and natural textiles, with an emphasis on 100% cotton.
