12 arrested in Viagra bust

Police unearthed a suspected Viagra counterfeiting ring on Wednesday, in a series of raids on houses, offices, and stores across Israel.
Police have arrested 12 suspects and held an additional 23 for questioning in the raids, which came following a long undercover operation carried out by the Lahav 433 investigative unit.
Those arrested could face charges of copyright infringement, trafficking in medicine without a prescription, and aggravated fraud, as well as a litany of tax violations.
During the raids, police discovered a makeshift factory on an unnamed moshav in the center of Israel, used for making and packaging the medicine.
Among those arrested is the owner of an advertising agency in Tel Aviv, who is suspected of using his business to promote the counterfeit anti-impotency pills.
