13-year-old boy arrested for alleged rape in Netanya

A 13-year-old boy was arrested in Netanya overnight Friday after he allegedly raped a woman in her thirties in the stairwell of an apartment building.

According to suspicions the boy asked the woman for a cigarette as she approached the building. She gave him one and went inside. He followed, assaulted her and raped her.

Police were called to the scene by a passerby who helped the woman and restrained the boy until their arrival. He will be brought to court Saturday evening to extend his remand.
