26-year-old Israeli dies during rave party in Italian town

Two people, one of them an Israeli national, died in Italy over the weekend, likely from drug-related causes at rave parties, with autopsies ordered to clarify the cause of death, Italian officials were quoted by Deutsche Presse Agentur as saying Sunday. In Lecce, a 23-year-old woman collapsed and died at a rave party attended by some 2,000 people, while in Campobasso a 26-year-old man from Israel died. Italian authorities were urged to ban raves following the rise in deaths occurring at them. A rave is an all night electronic music party at which - usually - large quantities of controlled substances are often consumed.
