A 35-year-old truck driver was hit and killed by a on-coming train near Kfar Menachem on Monday after he crossed the railroad tracks.
Magen David Adom Lakhish crews pronounced the man's death on arrival.
According to initial investigations, the driver parked his truck near the railroad and saw a friend on the other side. He exited his vehicle, crossed the tracks and did not estimate his distance correctly and was hit.
