Appeal rejected on dismantling of human trafficking unit

The Supreme Court rejected a petition filed Monday by Kadima MK Orit Zuaretz against a decision to dismantle the Sa'ar branch of the Lahav 433 elite police unit.
Police Chief Yohanan Danino decided months ago to dismantle the branch, which deals with human trafficking violations, after he was forced to make budget cuts.
Danino appeared Monday morning before Supreme Court Justice Beinisch to present his opinion on the dismantling of the unit, after which Zuaretz's appeal was rejected.
