Turkey, Saudi Arabia condemn 'Israeli aggression' in joint statement

Turkey and Saudi Arabia condemned "the continuous Israeli aggressions and provocations in the occupied Palestinian territories" in a joint statement issued on Wednesday at the end of a visit to Saudi Arabia by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The two sides stressed the need to intensify efforts to reach a "comprehensive peace and a just settlement of the Palestinian issue, based on the Arab Peace Initiative and the relevant resolutions of international legitimacy, in a way that guarantees the Palestinian people their right to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital."
