Barak and Spanish FM discuss Iran nuclear threat, Syria

Defense Minister Ehud Barak held a 90-minute meeting with Spanish Foreign Minister Migel Moratinos in Madrid on Tuesday, discussing the Iranian nuclear threat, as well as the situation in Lebanon, Syria, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
"A nuclear-armed Iran could threaten the strategic balance in the region," Barak told Moratinos. "I say, once again, that as far as Israel is concerned, all the options are on the table, and I advise our friends to do the same."
Regarding Syria, the defense minister said he was worried over its support of Hizbullah and other terror groups, but added that there was no danger of military escalation in the North. "Israel is not interested in increasing the tensions," Barak said.
