Barak welcomes Greek counterpart to Israel, hails ties

Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Thursday welcomed to Israel his visiting Greek counterpart, Panos Panagiotopoulos, saying at the start of their meeting, "we are pleased to welcome the Greek minister of defense in order to strengthen the very good relations we have with the Greek defense establishment and our special friendship with the Greek people."

Barak added, "I'm sure the Greek minister's visit will contribute to the deepening and strengthening of these ties, as well as to expanded cooperation between the two nations."
