‘Disappointed Likud members’ march to PM’s Office

Over a dozen Likud members started a march from Bat Yam to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s office on Sunday morning, in protest of his economic policies.
The group, which calls itself “disappointed Likud members,” plans to sleep in tents in Rehovot on Sunday night, and reach Jerusalem by Wednesday, where they will pitch tents in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to the marchers, Netanyahu is going against the teachings of Revisionist Zionism leader and Likud ideological forbearer Ze’ev Jabotinsky, who famously wrote that the state should provide shelter, food, clothing, education and medicine.
“If Netanyahu does not go back to Jabotinsky’s ideology, the Likud will lose the government,” the march’s leaders wrote, remarking that they miss the days of former prime minister Menachem Begin. “Netanyahu forgot what it means to be a Likudnik. He gives out prizes to the rich and abandons the poor.”
The participants in the demonstration wore shirts and carried signs saying: “Begin gave, and Netanyahu took away.”
