Egyptian opposition defiant over Suleiman's warning

CAIRO — Opposition groups in Egypt are infuriated over a vague ultimatum by Egyptian Vice President Omar Suleiman that protesters have two options — "dialogue" or "coup."
Ayman Nour and other opposition leaders said Wednesday that such remarks are dangerous threats. Suleiman rejected any Mubarak departure during a gathering of Egyptian newspaper editors late Tuesday.
Osama Saraya, an editor-in-chief of a pro-government paper who attended the meeting, said Suleiman didn't mean only a military coup but also a possible takeover by state institutions or Islamist groups.
