Former president Katsav granted leave from prison for day-long visit home

Former president Moshe Katsav received a 24 hour 'vacation' from prison, Israel Radio reported on Monday morning.
Katsav is serving a seven year sentence after being convicted for two counts of rape, two counts of sexual harassment, and other sexual offenses and obstruction of justice, which started in December 2011.
World International Zionist Organization (WIZO) chairwoman Gila Oshrat slammed the decision to grant Katsav the day-long holiday.
"There is no room for gestures of humanity for a prisoner who has never expressed regret or taken responsibility for his actions," Oshrat said in a statement.
